Within the historical textile of Pitigliano, the design of an exhibition setting proposes an urban path set inside the ancient complex of the Rocca Orsini. The design aims to underline the continuity of the museum path introducing an polycarbonate back-lit exhibition guide that runs throughout the sequence of alternating high and narrow vaulted spaces. The exhibition system consists of a series of different elements designed according to their function and dimension: some are transparent show-cases, some other are continuous opaque lighted planes. All the exhibition areas can be easily arranged in different configurations through the adoption of a number of complementary display elements that can be added to the above mentioned linear system. These elements could be roughly divided in the following categories: display shelves, seats and information panels.
