Enveloped within a harmonious fusion of nature's essence and modern urban elements, Experiment-101 emerges as an exceptional project for architects Yash and Anuja of ONE HABITAT STUDIO, commencing its journey on an untouched, raw canvas, gradually evolving into a mesmerizing vision. The underlying concept revolves around imbuing the space with an unparalleled sense of fluidity, achieved not only through the incorporation of graceful curvilinear forms in the structures but also through the artful manipulation of textures and colours.
Given the limited space at our disposal, ingenious civil modifications proved instrumental in optimizing the layout by strategically shifting walls and windows, and selectively adding or breaking certain walls, says Yash.
The home opens up in an inviting entrance foyer that seamlessly leads into the living room, connected to the dining space, which in turn overlooks the terrace on the one side and kitchen on the other. Stepping inside, one can sense the texture of micro-topping on the floor strategically made in blue colour which seamlessly blends with the stucco finished walls painted in soothing combination of blue and beige.
Within the living area, carefully curated pieces await, including a bespoke sofa in boucle fabric, a wooden chair, and a meticulously crafted wooden swing that proudly embodies the essence of creativity. Abundant natural light gracefully spills in through the balcony and window seating, bathing whole space in a captivating interplay of light and shadow, effortlessly enhancing the beauty of the chosen finishes, transforming the space into an enchanting haven for engaging conversations.
The custom-made dining table in conical shape adorned with a quartz top, is artfully orchestrated within the niche, crafted during the civil work phase to frame the dining area.

Nestled within the partition, delicately bridging the gap between the kitchen and dining areas, lies the puja unit in its graceful curves, imparting a sense of gentle softness to the overall composition.The kitchen, crafted entirely on-site boasts a seamless flow of the soothing PU painted blue colour, creating an illusion of spaciousness while exuding an ever-fresh ambiance. The fluted glass inside the wooden shutters infuse the space with a touch of drama. The kitchen top is adorned with a white corain quartz adding a dash of modernity to the culinary haven.Each room tells its own unique story, with bespoke furniture and paints, hand-painted artworks and wallpapers, custom flooring and inlays, and thoughtfully selected furnishings and décor yet bringing in a feeling of cohesiveness.
The guest bedroom exudes reminiscent of the old world charm, with its skilful integration of materials like cane, wood, and veneer. The headboard, meticulously carved from a wooden log, showcases stunning natural grains, seamlessly merging with the sofa-bed. The wardrobe, a harmonious blend of cane and black veneer, imparts a sense of warmth and familiarity to the guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The stucco finished beige wall serves as a canvas for hand painted artworks, adds a rustic touch to the room.
The master bedroom has a wooden bed accompanied by a soft cushioned headboard crafted with a harmonious blend of cane and veneer. The bed's backdrop is a custom-made wallpaper featuring the elegant flow of tropical leaves, as if venturing into a lush paradise. As you gaze upon the wardrobes, a custom-made pattern flows effortlessly, infusing the room with subtle yet serene visuals.
The Master toilet boasts an opulent space, adorned with the golden spider marble while the other wall has round white mosaic tiles, creating a stunning contrast with the beige-peach grouting. The ceiling features a 2mm thick veneer, polished with an exterior-grade PU finish. It not only imparts natural appeal but also ensures the ceiling's resilience against heat and any possible water splashes.

The kid's room is carefully crafted to cater to their two children's needs. The room accommodates two single beds, two well-appointed wardrobes accompanied by a study desk, all finished in PU paint. The wardrobes boast a delightful array of colours ranging from beige and browns to blues, seamlessly blending cheerful and calming vibes. Despite the presence of multiple colours, the room maintains a sense of openness, as the various hues effortlessly coalesce to create a serene and immersive experience. The flooring boasts Bharat Floorings' cement tiles, featuring a charming fusion of grey and blue inlay.
Within this mesmerizing abode, a personal touch of artistic brilliance adorns many walls, as each artwork is lovingly hand-painted by the principal architect, Anuja. With a passion for creativity, these unique pieces add an intimate and soulful touch to the entire home, says Anuja.
