First Times, Galerie Philia

Galerie Philia as Architects

Galerie Philia is proud to present an exceptional sculptural design and art exhibition entitled First Times, it will show artists never exhibited before with the gallery, and, for many of them, never shown in the USA. It will also be the opportunity to introduce for the first time the new Philia Interiors project.

From the Lebanese designer Richard Yasmine’s After Ago pieces deeply rooted in Postmodernism, Memphis design, and the lines of Art Deco to Parsons professor and designer Gregory Beson serene holistic approach; from the Golestan Palace’s inspired aesthetic of Chapter 101 to China-based Kar Studio’s resonating emotional fiberglass creations inspired by Oriental philosophies; this unique transcultural diversity has in common a sincere exploration of harmony through a long hand sculpting process. Carine Boxy’s rustic sheepskin rugs will be exhibited along with Manu Bano’s solid minimalistic brass lightings. Jason Mizrahi’s fluid unexpected sittings in aerospace-grade composite materials will dialog with Mike Ruiz-Serra’s Pulp tables made from plaster and recycled paper pulp. DeMuro Das’ chic coffee table will sing along with Volker Haug’s refined minimalistic sconces and chandeliers and Jude di Leo’s Quartz furniture. The rough organic oak and brass side tables of Jules Lobgeois or the imposing Narciso Mirrors by Andres Monnier will not obliterate the delicacy of Hermine Bourdin’s sandstone creations. Andrew Fisher’s adds his voice to this visual polyphony with his onyx, alabaster, or Arabescato Bluette urns and bowls.

This exhibition reflects Galerie Philia’s eye for works that emanate from different cultures and transcends formal, stylistic, national, and historical barriers. The collection on show unites a wide range of artistic worlds connected by their interculturalism and sheer artistic quality, regardless of their point of origin. Each work has an intrinsic aesthetic value which together creates a constellation of visible relationships with no centerpiece. Resisting trends and time, this collection offers multiple permutations, adapting to ever-changing interiors, sensibilities, and lifestyles.

This exhibition is also an opportunity to present Philia Interiors which will offer a unique perspective on staging for luxury real estate listings in the United States, Latin America, and Europe. Staging with artistic curation and sculptural design pieces is the heart of the project, and as this event is taking place in a true livable space, it will show the various possibilities that Philia Interiors will be able to explore in its various future projects.
