LXA as Interior Design and Branding

Dubai International Airport partnered with HMSHost International to commission LXA to create this unique F&B hub. Formed around the narrative of journeying from a vibrant, bustling and eclectic street scene, transitioning into a relaxing, tranquil urban garden. The dual scheme allows the travelers to choose the experience they desire, whether it be leaning stations to have a quick coffee before a flight, to relaxing in the more laid back ‘park’ space in comfortable seating below the generous atrium space.

Consisting of 9 separate vendors over 1700sqm, the challenge was to create a cohesive venue that stood on its own, while also allowing the individual outlets to shine. We have combined international Brands along with local flavours to create a desirable F&B destination. A number of fun and unique elements such as a playful sculpture made from fire hydrants, which also doubles as a hand washing station along with street sign inspired wayfinding bring elements of joy to an already exciting scheme. The designers also played with elements you may see on a street scene, such as extruded concrete forms to create seating modules. In addition to the interior design, LXA were also tasked with forming the overall brand identity along with two of the individual retailers.
