ones The Grocer Restaurant, Dubai Silicon Oasis

Design Infinity as Contractors

The design for the Dubai Silicon Oasis venue  by LXA was inspired by turning vernacular Australian architecture on its head, essentially going back to the brand’s roots and delivering something contemporary which hasn’t been seen before. As JTG’s brand color is blue, incorporation of a mixture of blue and white crackle subway tiles tie in the brand identity and give the grocer feel seen in cheese and charcuterie shops. The design is then all tied together by softening the hard reflective finishes, with the use of warm, crown-cut walnut veneer and natural oak merchandise shelving with glowing recessed LEDs to further accentuate the products on display.

The DSO location means for an incredible dining option allowing for a range of seating areas from dining, to meeting to just lounging with a coffee and a book to read. Fresh, bright and inviting with simple uncomplicated design language punctuated with Instagrammable points of interest.

Built in planters form communal tables and condiment stations with retail displays. Light timbers and screens soften the light. Halo lights are included around the palm trees and spilling out to the rest of the venue. Copper accents are included on the decorative lighting, feature joinery and the impressive pizza oven. Jones blue tiles add a pop to the warm timbers and white painted ceiling and cool concrete floors.

A Jones staple, plentiful food displays have been incorporated throughout the venue. A counter in grey marble with accent tile skirting greets guests. The live cook detail includes a semi-transparent hood detail with light stone counter. The cheese room and charcuterie takes pride of place on the right of the venue, while a fully stocked bread display sits proudly in front of a more moody and rustic blackened steel background. The inclusion of concrete walls creates an intimate dining space, whilst the trellis planter extends up onto the overhead shade structure. Muted blue fabric tones along with natural timber finishes compliment the generous use of greenery.
