The intervention is the expansion of the Japanese restaurant designed by Fadd in 2016, which required additional spaces for the arrangement of a bar room, an omakase, a smoking room and a private room for staff.
Playing with the historical and contemporary elements, the choice of materials - marble, brass and American walnut - and furnishings, the intervention aims to create a domestic atmosphere.
A graphite marble staircase leads to the new space: here the sliding paneling in light wood slats hides the private room, in contrast with the dark color of the marble of the counter, furnished with sofas, armchairs and carpets. In the omakase, the height of the raised floor creates a visual continuity between chef and customer; the smoking room is characterized by the vertical green wall- The intervention includes also the complete restoration of the external windows.
