In Amsterdam, next to the Amsterdam Arena, we drew the design for the transformation of an office building into a hotel. The location of the hotel is fantastic: on a lively square next to the Bijlmer/Arena railway station, within easy reach of all the districts of Amsterdam. The square is embraced by a U-shaped office building that, after lying empty for years, has been thoroughly renovated to accommodate new functions. Some 254 hotel bedrooms by Hampton are planned in the first completed wing. We also designed the interior of the public spaces. The colourful and atmospheric design harmonises perfectly with the inviting character that will make this square very attractive.
