Conceived as a contemporary sculptural work, HH Villa transforms architectural form into an expressive interplay of solid and void, light and shadow. Beyond its distinctive silhouette, deep roof overhangs, layered greenery, and full-height curtains form a multi-layered climate strategy, reducing direct solar heat gain while maintaining a naturally comfortable interior.
Inside, the sculptural language flows seamlessly into the interiors through a fluid steel staircase and a backlit stone island. Each space is thoughtfully composed to balance artistic expression with everyday comfort, bringing together connection, privacy, and rejuvenation. More than a home to admire, HH Villa is an immersive living experience shaped by architecture, nature, and the rhythms of daily life.
Contemporary Sculpture and Climate Control Solutions
HH Villa features an architectural language that distinctly sets it apart from its surrounding context. The separation of solid and void volumes creates a sense of lightness across the entire building mass. Natural light is maximized through floor-to-ceiling glass systems, while cantilevered roof overhangs exceeding two meters introduce rhythm and reach to the facade, giving the home the presence of a contemporary sculpture—reduced in form yet full of character. Beyond its unique aesthetic value, this serves as an effective climate-control strategy by providing shade and creating thermal buffer zones to block direct solar radiation. Combined with a first layer of facade greenery and a second layer of full-height sheer curtains, the interior spaces are shielded from harsh sunlight and naturally cooled.
Seamless Connections and Singular Accents
Both the architecture and interior design of HH Villa are guided by soft curves, establishing a fluid and uninterrupted visual flow from the outside in. Utilizing a bright color palette paired with natural stone and wood, interwoven with soft surfaces and gentle lighting, the design instills a tranquil atmosphere throughout the living spaces. The design team at APS Concept avoided cluttering the home with excessive displays, focusing instead on harmonizing highly intricate details within a cohesive, highly aesthetic whole that remains deeply inviting. This sense of "intimacy" acts as an emotional anchor, balancing out the intricate detailing and heightened aesthetics of the project. To us, no matter how refined a home may be, its core purpose must always serve human habitation—delivering warmth, comfort, and a complete living experience for its members.
The curved staircase paired with a 10-meter pendant light at the heart of the house serves as the primary "signature element" of the project. The entire staircase enclosure is formed from monolithic curved steel plates, creating a continuous, fluid sensation akin to a ribbon flowing through space. This curve extends seamlessly from the base of the stairs up to the upper void, creating the illusion of a structure in motion. By day, natural light renders the staircase light and ethereal; by night, the luminous crystal column casts a gentle, atmospheric glow across the crisp white walls and the curved metallic stair enclosure, creating a poetic interplay of light and shadow that transforms the staircase into a striking artistic centerpiece within the space.
The kitchen island serves as the second 'signature piece' of the space, featuring back-lit stone with a striking contrast in both color and natural veining to create a powerful visual anchor. The 'molten' design language continues through the striking sculptural lighting fixtures featured in both the living and dining areas, sculpted to resemble molten metal flows embedded with crystal fragments, establishing a shared spirit and material synergy across the entire living, dining, and kitchen zones. Meanwhile, the surrounding environment remains minimalist to balance the optics and prevent any sense of visual heaviness.
The living and dining areas across two distinct volumes connect fluidly within an open-plan ground floor, mirrored across a linear internal garden courtyard and glass-paneled corridors. This layout not only optimizes garden views from every angle but also artfully draws nature inward, binding everything into a unified whole. The entire ground floor revolves around a clear intent: connectivity. From the living room, dining zone, and kitchen to the outdoor courtyard with its swimming pool, daybeds, and pocket gardens, every space is arranged to encourage family members to see, interact, and share everyday moments together.
While the ground floor serves as the hub for family connection, the upper levels are tailored for individual privacy. If the ground floor serves as the family gathering hub, the upper levels are tailored for individual privacy. All bedrooms orbit a central atrium, opening onto balconies that face one another across tinted glass and lush foliage—ensuring quiet seclusion while keeping family members softly connected under one roof The master suite is kept minimalist and deeply connected to nature, flanked by private courtyards and multiple planter boxes. Every detail revolves around user experience, meticulously researched to suit storage needs, from the walk-in closet system to the expansive bathroom featuring a clear separation of wet and dry zones.
In most Vietnamese homes, the living room serves as both a place to welcome guests and a space for everyday family life. At HH Villa, this experience is extended through dedicated spaces designed for lingering, where conversations unfold over hours in an atmosphere of ease and privacy. A lounge occupies the third floor, while the basement houses a cigar room connected to a discreet wine cellar, creating a more intimate, subdued atmosphere, removed from the rhythm of daily life on the ground floor.
While the lower floors focus on daily living and rest, the top level is entirely dedicated to energy rejuvenation. The homeowner allocated the uppermost floor exclusively to wellness and relaxation. To support this vision, APS Concept designed the floor as a wellness center, featuring a spa and a spacious yoga area laid out beside a suspended garden.
The integration of full-height curtain systems, expansive multi-level glass walls, and PDLC smart glass allows natural light to filter deep into every corner—highlighting the stone textures and purposefully curated material surfaces—while softening illumination when desired. Functional zoning and spatial layering are handled with precision through floor layouts, interior placement, materiality, and lighting, ensuring each area retains its necessary privacy while preserving overall spatial breathability.
Understated yet impactful, we aimed to craft more than just a place to live — but a profound work of art that breathes a new rhythm into the urban quietude: modern, gentle, transcending mere shelter to become a sanctuary for pure enjoyment and holistic wellness right within the home.
Three Core Values Shaping HH Villa
From shared living spaces and private quiet zones to the rooftop spa, every design revolves around three core values: Personal imprint, emotion, and privacy.
The "Personal imprint" is portrayed through what the homeowner loves and cherishes: books, paintings, wine, and souvenirs collected from the lands they have traveled through. Combined with spatial arrangements tailored for a three-generation family, everything helps the homeowner feel that this house truly belongs to them.
The house embodies “Emotion” as it shifts and breathes with time, shaped by natural ventilation, daylighting, and APS Concept’s carefully integrated fresh-air filtration and lighting systems. These elements are seamlessly connected through smart technologies, allowing architecture and technology to work in harmony to enhance the living experience. Here, one can feel the sunlight streaming through expansive glass panels, witness Saigon’s sudden showers, and experience the home transform into an entirely different atmosphere as the lights come on and night falls.
"Privacy" is absolutely guaranteed by the way APS Concept skillfully handles open spaces, partitions, soundproofing materials, and applies smart PDLC glass films to the entire glazing system. Above all, the exclusive privilege of enjoying every closed amenity all to oneself is what creates the ultimate sense of privacy.
