'Shirahama no Hiraya' (Hillside House)

The client requested one thing, a house for the family to live comfortable in the location. The site was wide open to the ocean in the South, and in other three direction was surrounded by mountains. Like drawing a line along the mountains, I designed the house low height to feel the beauty of the horizon of the sea, and the house to blend in with the background. And also the house is arranged in the south end of the site, so that when approaching to the house from the north entrance, you are walking towards the ocean.
