House DO is a fresh, fun summer villa. We countered the typological uniformity with a wild and exuberant spirit, which was expressed through some surprising details. The garden becomes a landscape: water pours from the edge of the pool and becomes a waterfall, monolithic slabs rise up to the villa like rocks shaped by time, and greenery permeates and outlines the horizon.
The pool, with its glass wall, creates a surreal boundary between two opposing and incompatible dimensions, generating a volume in which the water appears as a solid suspended between an abstract equilibrium and the reasonable desire to return to fluidity and flood the space. Air and water observe each other.
The house thus enjoys a "domestic landscape" that enters the interior spaces in the form of color and ornamentation, accentuated by lighting designed to complement the design lines and create ever-changing scenarios. House DO is a place of escape and delight, where surprise inspires imagination and creativity... in complete relaxation!
