The H.Tosmur House was designed as a new guest hospitality house for the Tosmur family's farm in a village within the İmamoğlu district of Adana, complementing their existing living space opening into the same courtyard, and intended for use especially during the winter months.
The central dual-sided fireplace and stove, positioned in the middle of the main space, has been transformed into a sculptural design element with its chimney rising through the center of the glass surface created in the ceiling.
The aim is to bring the green texture of the existing mulberry tree on the western façade into the interior space through this glass surface in the ceiling. The floor-level dining table in front of the stove and the two protruding wooden gazebos outdoors have made the daily habits of village life and traditional hospitality a part of the spatial design. The resting room, on the other hand, is concealed within the structure in a way that preserves spatial integrity.
The terrace with a gazebo at the entrance is designed as a meeting area where family and guests can gather, especially on special occasions. The vegetable garden created with ancestral seeds in the backyard, while contributing to the kitchen, offers guests the opportunity to experience the culture of rural production.
