Huset ved havet is situated along a peaceful stretch of coastline, with uninterrupted views across the sea. The project combines traditional Danish building traditions with a contemporary architectural language, with particular attention to its coastal context and the surrounding landscape.

The location between the sea and the lush garden forms the basis for an architectural approach in which the house opens generously towards its surroundings. The choice of materials — Danish brick, natural stone and expansive glazed surfaces — supports the home’s aesthetic and functional ambitions of durability, simplicity and a strong sense of connection.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and carefully positioned openings bring daylight and views of the sea deep into the heart of the home, creating a fluid transition between indoors and outdoors. The garden, carefully designed in dialogue with the existing natural surroundings, flows seamlessly into the coastal landscape, strengthening the connection between the house and its setting.

The result is a calm yet expressive home that balances refinement and simplicity — a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Danish summer house in close dialogue with nature.
