BDO Accountants & Advisors presents an innovative workspace in the heart of Rotterdam, spanning across three meticulously designed floors - the 9th, 10th, and 11th. This space caters to a spectrum of professional needs, ranging from collaborative endeavors and knowledge sharing to agile project management methodologies such as scrum. The facility is thoughtfully equipped with presentation and meeting rooms, aligning seamlessly with BDO's vision of enabling work across multiple dimensions, be it within the office, at client locations, or from the comforts of one's home.

The 10th floor serves as the reception area, embracing the concept of a modern, welcoming workspace. Here, a reception desk and a coffee bar manned by a skilled 'barista' provide a warm greeting. Multiple seating areas are strategically placed to foster a productive yet relaxed atmosphere, ideal for work and informal meetings. This floor is ingeniously connected to newly designed vertical voids, traversable via connecting staircases that link all three floors. It also accommodates a dedicated meeting center and a spacious, adaptable scrum and relaxation zone. Moreover, a "mind & innovation" space has been thoughtfully curated, reflecting the evolving landscape of our lives.

The dynamic shifts in our daily routines are undeniable, with the boundaries between work and home becoming increasingly porous. In an era where we are constantly connected to the world 24/7, it becomes paramount for individuals to conscientiously structure their day, allowing space for rest, rejuvenation, and personal growth. This paradigm shift necessitates organizations to reevaluate their workspace configurations. BDO's new location, indeed, embodies this ethos with spaces that promote such awareness, exemplified by the 'mind & innovation' room with designated silence zones and opportunities for meditation.

The two primary 'work' floors are centered around a communal living area, featuring an expansive pantry, premium coffee and tea facilities, a variety of seating options, and abundant greenery. The allocation of workstations has been a product of collaborative efforts with employees, aligning seamlessly with the dynamic nature of their roles. The overarching focus remains on fostering cooperation and strengthening social cohesion among the diverse Lines of Services within the BDO organization. Furthermore, the facility houses dedicated concentration workspaces and serene corners, albeit in reduced numbers, recognizing that focused tasks can also be efficiently executed from home offices.

The aesthetics and wayfinding elements of this location seamlessly integrate with BDO's domain of expertise, reminiscent of Europe's largest port - Rotterdam. The quiet zones and partitioned spaces ingeniously emulate shipping containers, characterized by a unique brass color palette. In the context of conference and meeting rooms, distinctive wall and floor coverings have been meticulously crafted, inspired by prominent landmarks and structures in the vibrant city of Rotterdam. The color palette of each floor resonates with the corporate identity of the organization, adding an extra layer of coherence and sophistication.
