In the productive relationship between companies and territory, the industrial architecture is a key point in which design, sustainability and dialogue with landscape coexist. This is proven by Pratic and Maddalena, two leading institutions of the Friulian enterprise which, by designing innovative outdoor spaces, have reinterpreted the way of living the company and of conceiving its bond with the territory.
The headquarters of Maddalena, a company specialized in the production of thermal water meters, enjoys a privileged location overlooking the Friulian hills, and the view takes in up to the skyline of Alps and Prealps. A natural landscape in which colours change during all seasons and that has inspired the company’s project of renovating the offices and the spaces reserved for training, both conceived to interact with the natural element, thus giving the employees a comfortable and relaxing workplace.
The fil rouge of the intervention is the permeability between the indoors and the outdoors that can be appreciated in a multisensory way through the big glass walls that allow a constant visual contact with the outdoors and through the installation of four Pratic pergolas for a full-immersion experience.
Two modules of the bioclimatic pergola Opera complete in a refined and functional way the terrace of Maddalena: a very suggestive view, perfect for meetings and team building, from which you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the surrounding panorama. The retractable aluminium blades that compose Opera covering allow to modulate the shade and the natural air recirculation to always recreate the best climate conditions. Even in case of rain, when the covering hermetically closes to protect the underlying space or at sunset, thanks to Led Line perimeter lighting.
The light and essential structure, in cinnamon nuance, evokes the matter of the environment, since elements such as cement, steel, river stones, marble polishing and slate have been chosen.
Two additional modules of the pergola have been placed at the entrance for a very particular use: a covered parking space. Thanks to special weather sensors, Opera can autonomously manage the opening and closing of blades, thus always guaranteeing an impeccable shelter for the parked cars. As the beautiful Rosso Mugello Ferrari Portofino, which every day is sheltered and framed by the technology and the elegant beauty of Pratic open air structures.
