The new headquarters for Innovatrics is conceived as an architectural embodiment of biometric identity.
Designed for Innovatrics, a leading company in biometric technologies, the project draws its primary inspiration from fingerprint patterns, which shaped the building’s distinctive floor plan and directly reference the essence of the company’s work. The proposal, developed by A.M. architects, won the architectural competition in 2018.
Set on a site where clarity of orientation and internal connectivity were essential, the design responds to the client’s need for a functional, legible, and representative workspace. The central challenge was to create a building that could unite diverse departments while maintaining a strong conceptual link to the company’s domain.
The resulting concept is organized around a large central atrium that visually and physically connects all parts of the building. This space acts as a natural point of orientation, giving the layout intuitive logic and enabling easy movement throughout the interior. A generous skylight placed above the atrium brings natural light deep into the core of the building, creating a comfortable environment for work and circulation.
The exterior continues the biometric metaphor through a subtle rhythm of vertical elements and soft, rounded lines. The shaping of the building’s wings evokes layered fingerprint ridges that gradually converge and open toward the main entrance. The combination of vertically articulated glazing and warm, golden metal frames gives the building an elegant and technically precise appearance, while the curved forms and gentle shading ensure a balanced, human scale.
In its final form, the building not only supports efficient everyday operations but also strengthens the company’s identity, offering a workplace that reflects its innovative mission and contributes positively to the surrounding environment.
