The Mediterranean isn't on the menu at Alto. It's outside every window

Alto is a rooftop restaurant in Nice. Fine dining above the city, where the Mediterranean isn't on the menu — it's outside every window.
The primary decision was seating. Every seat faces the panorama. Not a window table as a privilege, but as the baseline condition for the entire room. The city is not backdrop. It is a participant in every meal.

The space operates in two modes without changing the scene. During the day, Alto is light and almost weightless — soft banquettes, white linen, living trees, the Côte d'Azur at full scale. As the sun sets, the same room grows darker and more interior — the light shifts, the character shifts. Materials were chosen specifically for that transition: oak, natural stone, and textile that don't fade toward evening. They deepen.
The bar is a separate act within the same restaurant. A stained glass screen behind the counter, cascading crystal chandeliers, a marble top. The bar doesn't close after dinner. It becomes the centre of it.

The kitchen is built around European produce with a clear seasonal logic. The menu is short. Every dish earns its place.
710 square metres above Nice. Presence above the city as a format.
