The owner is an independent, strong woman with a lot of personality, with her 5-year-old daughter. The client loves cooking, entertaining and celebrating life. She wanted her dream home, a space that represented her essence and accommodated all her needs in a functional way.
A vibrant project, with lots of color and lightness. Something different from anything she had ever seen. A large functional marble island in the gourmet space was also one of the requests.
The staircase, gourmet kitchen and the large bar that divides the dining room from the TV room. We also created an entrance hall by removing a fireplace that was originally there.
HALL - The space welcomes those who arrive at the house, taking advantage of the high ceiling. In it, a shelf hanging from the top displays elements of different heights that meet, creating a perfect proportion. This arrangement fills the wall in total harmony. Thus, it enhances the space, especially the modernist style piece of furniture, Móveis Cimo from the 1960s. Arranged on the terrazzo floor, the flower boxes are made of the same material, as if they sprouted from there. The composition is purposefully misaligned with the colors of the decorative objects, in a charming and unexpected way.
LIVING. The environment, which was designed with vibrant colors, is marked by a generous rug by Ana Weege (AWÉS) in collaboration with Punto e Filo. Also present are the ochre suede sofa and white leather armchair, both from Móveis Cimo, 1960s; and the armchairs in a cherry tone. A selection of modernist furniture, all from our discerning partner Antiquário Cristiano Ross, blends harmoniously with contemporary pieces, including the jacaranda table designed by Giuseppe Scapinelli. The colors have a retro vibe and are balanced by elements in black, white, and wood. The highlight is the fluidity of the space, which is highly integrated and well-lit.
JANTAR. The sinuosity of the custom cabinetry, specially designed for the project in natural American oak veneer, defines this space. It is outlined by the oval table by Tiago Curioni, with chairs featuring organic shapes. Above it, lamps designed by Carol Gay provide illumination and create an even cozier atmosphere. Next to the dining area, the TV room has a more intimate and reserved vibe. At the end of the room, the gourmet area is presented masterfully. The glass cabinet and buffet cater to the spaces, for all gatherings between family and friends. The details speak volumes in this space, where the freedom of movement is the main attraction. Rounded shapes blend with straight lines, creating an ideal contrast. Wood panels frame the space, receiving all the irreverence of the pistachio tone in details like the bar insertion in the buffet, the counter legs, and the mobile shelf, which hides a surprise.
SALA DE TV (ESTANTE ESPECIAL) - At first glance, just a delicate and functional bookshelf under the stairs. When moved, a charming surprise that elicits admiration: it opens to reveal a ‘hide place’ where the little resident can explore freely. The Moledo stone wall gains an extra layer as a mask, with the slatted wooden panel, blending two natural elements. A sisal rug, acrylic side table, and the caramel suede sofa and armchair by Poul M. Volther, 1964, Denmark, are a welcome addition to this sensory mix. To frame the space, a wooden panel.
ÁREA GOURMET. In this space where interaction is the main focus, Vesúvio Quartzite covers the countertops and steals all the attention. Its veins and intense colors never go unnoticed. A large light wood storage area completes the space, where the glass cabinet and the preparation area stand out.
