The spatiality and landscaping of the Ícaro building signed by Studio Arthur Casas in
Curitiba, Paraná, were decisive for the interior design of this duplex penthouse.
On the first floor is the expanded living room integrated to the dining room and to
the external area with patio, fire pit, and elevated swimming pool. The second floor
accommodates the private areas, such as the three suites and the office.
The exposed concrete, very striking in the building's architecture, also defines the
aesthetic identity of the apartment, along with the wood and the generous glass
openings.
The limestone staircase, designed with suspended steps, connects the two floors and
is the highlight of the project. In the interiors there are also design pieces signed by
Arthur Casas, such as the Flintstones tea cart, Amorfa Lamp and Lampião chairs.
The landscaping was conceived to guarantee more privacy to the residents in relation
to the neighboring buildings. For such purpose, new vegetal compositions were
created, in addition to the perimeter landscaping done for the development.
