MZNO as Architects

The project was conceived from the mix between artisanal and industrial, which takes us back to the bread process itself: the machinery next to the “baker's hand”.

The selection of materials, such as the hydraulic tile and the Brazilian Palomino marble, the rescue of pre-existing elements in the 1898 townhouse, such as the wooden floor on the ceiling and the structural stone wall give the handmade tone.

The space of the furnace, visually open to the public, its apparent pipes, next to the metalwork of the shelves / showcase print the industrial.

Details such as the ceramic tub in the lounge, with an old faucet and filtered water and pendant lamps and sconces in the shape of a milky globe, bring personal and affective references from bakers.

One of the prerogatives of the needs program was not to remain in the store, without tables and living furniture. Therefore, the layout comprises a large counter / showcase, the cashier and a small window facing the street, a take-out where customers can pick up their orders without entering.
