The small eatery on Tallers Street, bathed in electric blue and stainless steel, has been generating queues for a month thanks to a concept that fuses Korean street tradition with striking and functional interior design.
Barcelona has once again proven its insatiable appetite for new gastronomic trends. The latest phenomenon to arrive can be found in the heart of El Raval, where Kokkiri, a street fast food concept originally from South Korea, is revolutionizing the neighborhood with its original rice dogs and an interior design that leaves no one indifferent.
In just one month since opening on Tallers Street, the small eatery has become a magnet for the curious and foodies alike, who do not hesitate to queue up to try these unique crispy rice "lollipops." The formula is simple and addictive: a rice-based dough wraps around various fillings such as frankfurter sausage, chicken, or cheese, resulting in a perfect fry that is then covered with a wide variety of toppings, ranging from crispy potato or sweet potato to classic breadcrumbs.

If the food is the excuse, the space is undoubtedly the star of the experience. The interior design studio PPT Interiorismo was responsible for bringing Kokkiri to life, taking the brand identity of this Korean "elephant" – a symbol of luck, happiness, and purity – to the extreme to create a space that is "aggressive, impactful, and highly functional."
"We wanted an immediate 'wow' effect. That's what all our clients are looking for today: an experience that goes beyond the product," explains PPT Interiorismo. "We bathed the entire space in a striking electric blue, the corporate color, creating an immersive atmosphere. To provide contrast and a clean, technical feel, we introduced a large stainless steel counter with vibrant yellow details."
Details that make the difference
The studio took the reference to the product down to the smallest detail:
• Textured Counter: Far from being a smooth surface, it features a studied texture that dialogues with the crunchy, artisanal nature of the rice dogs.
• Visual Communication: Strategically placed digital screens do not just inform; they communicate the product in a dynamic and enticing way.
• Extreme Chromatism: The electric blue floods every corner, while the stainless steel and yellow act as counterpoints of light and modernity.
