La Marzocco Sydney is the Australian home of the iconic Italian espresso machine manufacturer. Located within an industrial warehouse in Botany, the 786 m² space combines showroom, office, training and servicing functions within a carefully adapted industrial building.
At Open Creative Studio, we have been working with La Marzocco since 2014, when we delivered the first dedicated La Marzocco
showroom in Abbotsford, Melbourne. Over that time I have come to appreciate how deeply the company values craftsmanship, engineering and is central to Australia’s coffee culture.
When La Marzocco Australia approached us to design their Sydney space, the ambition was to create something that reflected the same care and design quality as the company’s international projects, including the beautifully restored Accademia headquarters in Florence. At the same time, it needed to remain true to the slightly industrial, workshop character that has always been part of the brand’s identity.
