To echo the narrative inspirations of designers Pamela Lou + Zon Chu, we sought to create a presentation in space that would unfold from the darkness, enhancing and amplifying the line and craftsmanship of the new Langoliers jewelry collection.
Guests entered at the mezzanine level of the Good Units event space (below the Hudson Hotel), dimly illuminated by scattered bare light bulbs on the floor. An intense glow beckoned guests toward the railing/overlook down into the vast sub-basement lower level... And suspended from the double height ceiling, Langoliers designers Pamela Lou and Zon Chu had fabricated a sprawling 12'-0" tall woven chandelier of chiffon and silver chain. Dripping down over a circle of mirror on the floor, this elegant visual anchor filled the room with delicate line and glittering silhouette - an operatic scale evocation of their jewelry itself. On descending a darkened stairwell to the lower level, guests entered the primary to see five models encircling the overhead Chandelier. Additional pieces of jewelry were displayed in a panoramic frosted acrylic case suspended from above. Completing the multi-sensory environment, the live orchestral band Nouveau Classical Project underscored the event from the far balcony overlooking the space.
