A complete renovation, restoration and enlargement to a large oceanfront house on Long Island. In addition to rebuilding the envelope, we raised the entire house to comply with current FEMA floodplain elevation regulations. We built a new entry sequence with a new trellis-shaded ramp and single lite door, reclad the building with clear cedar siding, replaced all the windows and doors in a new fenestration pattern, rebuilt the decks and swimming pool, and provided a new rooftop terrace. The entire interior was replanned, rebuilt, re-lit and refinished. The result is a bold, bright, light-filled house for entertaining and beach side living.
