Living-garden house is a type of home, where its living space integrates with nature completely. We live in the garden during the day and enclose in the home's cocoon at night. The concept of the house in Wroclaw from couple of years ago initiated this idea. On certain stage of design its meandering form was separating the garden into the west and east parts. To integrate gardens the building was partially lifted and the living space found place underneath. Hence the idea to keep the grass on the floor. Thanks to retractable glass partitions living room became living-garden. The next project of the house in Warsaw, where the same idea rules and indicates to be universal and not to be depended on building's form. The project of the house in Krakow was a step forward, where both living and sleeping spaces were fragments of the garden. We realized, however, the living-garden should be based on each human's natural existance order, where we live in the garden during the day and enclose in the home's cocoon at night. While working on the following living-garden project we came to a conclusion, that not only garden can penetrate the buidling, but also particular elements of living space may be spread all around the garden - this is how house in the Fields works, currently under construction. Adapting living-garden idea to the house in Tatras confirmed us in belief this idea is universal and receptive enough to match any context, even the very traditional one. We believe the blend of architecture and the environment will be fuller soon: applying specific grass or moss types in the living section will improve the internal microclimate, improve the quality of air, and, in result, create a healthier space for living. Living-Garden House is a step towards this ideal. It makes the residents aware that they are a part of a bigger ecosystem.
