The apartment is located on the top floor of a building in the Paseo Lluis Companys in Barcelona.

The characteristics of its original distribution are those of an elongated floor, with the widest rooms located on the two main facades and connected by a long corridor.

The challenge of the project is to transform this corridor from a simple distribution space to an environment more of the house, breaking its monotony and eliminating the typical hierarchies between spaces of this type of housing.

The perimeter of the corridor loses its linear contours blurring through three volumes that, in contrast to the color of the walls, protrude from the alignment of the longitudinal distribution and collect respectively the functions of kitchen, fourth installations and dressing room.

The kitchen, located towards the entrance, becomes the center of the house and the life of its users. A large hole in the load wall connects it to the living / dining room.

Between the volumes the bathrooms are located, while on the other side of the hall, an area of ​​closets and a study. Interior openings are opened facing the windows of the facades of the courtyards of lights and sliding doors are used in all the rooms to exalt the feeling of fluidity of the space.

In the rear facade, the most private area of ​​the house is formed by two large bedrooms.
