The project for the first Nola multi-brand store arose from the challenge of fostering a new fashion culture in Varginha. With this context in mind, the property chosen to house the project was a century-old mansion located on one of the city's main avenues.
In this way, the definition of the modern concept aims to match the purpose of uniting two passions that encouraged businesswoman Maíra Bandeira to open the store: her contemporary references in fashion design and the historical atmosphere with which she deeply connects.
Inspired by buildings that house haute couture brands in Europe, the store's façade was revamped with colors that highlight its historical features, highlighting striking attributes from the past decade that continue to make up the city's architecture.
With the understanding that every detail of the project can benefit from the meeting of the new with the old, the light tones that were previously displayed on the front wall continue to predominate in the characteristic ornaments, highlighting the unique beauty of a living building.
In parallel with the preliminary studies of the project, the necessary legal procedures were carried out for the renovation of the property, which is in the process of being listed.
The complete restoration project was presented to the responsible bodies, accompanied by a detailed technical survey and documents that include photographic and descriptive reports of the proposed work.
Accessed through the door on the left, it is possible to enter the hall. With a wide and inviting circulation flow, the experience of the space transcends the choice of pieces.
The grandeur of the Napoleon Bordeaux Michelangelo marble is quick to appear and draws everyone's attention to the reddish-toned counters. The impressive composition of the veins arranged in curved angles lends an exotic and even more authentic air to the space.
In addition to the marble, the interior design pays special tribute to the original flooring of the mansion. The preservation of the charming hydraulic tiles arranged in a checkerboard pattern was decisive in enhancing the historical atmosphere of the space, highlighting its importance as a true relic from the last century.
Upon entering, the salon is organized around the integration of two spaces. Side by side, divided by a central shelf, on the right is a pleasant reception area and on the left is a counter for handling and presenting products.
Considering that the star of the space will be the clothes, the choice of materials was fundamental. With this in mind, the interior design incorporates a cleaner, more chic and minimalist aesthetic.

Hanging clothes racks crown the sophistication of the hall, housing the beauty of the pieces on the hangers in a delicate choreography. They also symbolize the importance of preserving the original features of the building, since this model of displaying the clothes was chosen so as not to permanently interfere with the structure of the floor.
Further back, you can enter the hall leading to the changing rooms. Along the way, a significant object takes center stage - Maíra's grandmother's sewing machine is presented, bringing with it memories that reflect the great emotional value of this achievement for the store owner.
In constant dialogue with the spaces that precede it, the fitting room area is also conducive to a memorable experience. This time, the Falx Bar Cart, designed by Fernando Sá Motta, stands out not only for its functionality as a support point for a warm welcome, but also for its noble expression of design.
The composition of materials present in the carpet and textiles of the curtains was designed to make the space as cozy as possible. In this context, the mirrors and indirect lighting also help to make the moment of trying on the pieces a deep immersion in the universe of Nola.
The concept that integrates the project's cornerstones also extends to the design of the bathroom. As proof of a set of well-defined elements that reach the experience of all the spaces, Napoleon Bordeaux marble is present in a magnificent countertop with a sculpted sink.
Finally, manifesting itself in key elements, the references to the vintage style with contemporary touches permeate the choice of furniture. Thus, throughout it is possible to perceive the transformative power of a selection of pieces that correspond to the concept and endorse its purpose masterfully.
The Nola store project goes beyond the restoration of a building by representing the revitalization of the collective memory of the Varginha community. With an intense admiration for the original architecture of the mansion, the careful interventions demonstrate respect for the integrity of the property, achieving the perfect balance between preservation and modernization.
