LOT IN VALE DE LOBOS Telheiro, Leiria 1997-2010
Initially the site ground had a very rough layout. It slopes from a watershed, which is the edge of the hydrographic basin of the River Lis eastwards and the River Lena westwards. The terrain is close to the surrounding public roads, namely Estrada do Telheiro, and continues the road system of the adjoining lot southwards. The road network layout is the fundamental structuring element in this project. The proposal is developed over two parallel longitudinal axes, from east to west, which are articulated orthogonally with two transversal distribution roads. The accesses are developed in a square pattern, both in the planned streets and above all in the walkways, and the structure of the public and paved green areas. This solution will allow greater road and pedestrian traffic flow onto the site and to the inner areas. The predominant use is housing. The complementary uses arise from the main use.
LOTS 39 – 43 Group of dwellings, together forming a separate management unit (ZH5), integrated within the overall set. The concept is the same as that of the other units – to differentiate between the homogeneous groups, in this case being triplex terraced dwellings. The finishing’s of the façades are plaster and white paint, flamed Ataíja stone, with the wall bases covered in crafted painted tiles.
