The new Luigi Pirandello school complex is much more than a building: it is an act of confidence in inland areas and a stronghold against depopulation. In Isnello, this project becomes a model of social, cultural, and environmental regeneration, capable of restoring a sense of centrality to the community.
A school designed together with and for the local territory, it looks toward the future of the Madonie region by focusing on young people as a fundamental resource for growth and resilience. It is an architecture that educates not only through learning, but also through sustainability, respect for the landscape, and contemporaneity, bringing innovation to contexts that too often remain distant from the standards of contemporary architecture.
The school achieved LEED Gold certification — the first school building in Sicily to receive this recognition — confirming a design approach that combines innovation, energy efficiency, inclusivity, and respect for the local context.
