Situated on a bustling, high-traffic avenue, the fourth location of Lucific Tea engages in a thoughtful dialogue with the city’s dynamic rhythm through modern architectural language and a refined minimalist ethos. Rather than isolating itself from the context, the design actively embraces the energetic urban fabric.
The storefront underwent a radical transformation, where solid walls were replaced with expansive apertures integrated with outdoor seating. This design move blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior, fostering a seamless connection between patrons and the streetscape. Furthermore, it introduces a human-centric element to the facade by creating a welcoming transitional buffer for delivery drivers to rest.
The ground floor features a streamlined layout, primarily dedicated to the central bar counter and a functional waiting area. The staircase core is envisioned as an architectural nexus. By leveraging large-scale, diffused light sources, this transition zone serves as a powerful visual anchor while introducing an expansive spatial illusion that connects the ground floor to the upper level experience.
While the ground floor caters to transition and movement, the first floor (second floor) is curated for diverse spatial experiences and emotional pacing. A continuous built-in bench sofa, focused co-working zones, and an elongated balcony overlooking the street are meticulously orchestrated. Infused with a youthful and vibrant spirit, the formal language utilizes fluid curves and rounded geometries to soften the rigid constraints of the existing structure. The seating layouts are strategically oriented inwards, prioritizing human interaction and conversational intimacy.
The material palette remains steadfast in its minimalism, celebrating raw, tactile honesty. Eschewing superfluous ornamentation, the depth of the space and the inherent character of the materials are masterfully awakened through indirect architectural lighting, evoking an authentic, serene, yet thoroughly contemporary atmosphere.
