The brand new apartment, just finished by contractor, that Suffered some small and simple design interventions to express the personality of the client. Aiming a fast and clean process, there was no structural interventions in this project.
Therefore, the design aimed at creating a simple and serene atmosphere, translated into practical and functional spaces to host the daily life.
The proposed design was based on three strategies. The first one was the use of color. By painting only three walls in very natural tone of green, the whole apartment assumed a friendly and calm personality that fits perfectly with the client. The color here was used to contrast with the existing light gray walls, creating a volume in the living area and a background to the master bedroom. The second was a very clean light design, mainly using indirect lighting hidden in the lining, with just a few spotlights where needed. Finally, the last one was the simple design of cabinets and furniture based on straight lines and the transforming composition of white melamine and Tauari timber.
The apartment recently delivered by the builder has not changed structure or coating already installed. At the client's request, we moved from the existing landscape to a clean and quick work, yet still able to reflect her personality.
Thus, we seek to build a simple and serene atmosphere that translates into practical and functional environments through punctual interventions in space.
The first of these was the painting of just three walls in a spinach green tone throughout the apartment, a natural color that conveys the same tranquility that marks the client's personality. The green then is responsible for giving personality to the base of existing walls in light gray color, setting a volume in the room and a nice backdrop in the suite.
At the same time, a lighting project was also developed, based mainly on the indirect illumination of the space through light negatives in the ceiling, with only a few steerable spots in focal points of the spaces.
Finally, we designed the entire woodwork of the apartment, following the same simplicity of architecture: straight lines, sculptured handles and a changing composition between the white coating and the natural Tauari wood blade, in perfect harmony with the furniture chosen and the pieces kept. by the resident.

What was the brief?
The client asked for a simple, clean and fast intervention since the apartment was brand new. The building works were just finishing and she wanted to move in short time and of course within the budget.
What were the key challenges?
The biggest challenge was to translate her personality into the new home without using many interventions - considering time frame and budget. In addition, the apartment has just the right measure, no inches left, so everything had to fit perfectly.
