This house, for a young professional couple who work in the housing development and construction industries, seeks to embrace the expectations of the clients for a relatively quiet “modern” design, which we called “moderately modern” or “MoMo.” It’s sort of a transition from the modern to the tropical modern. Thus, the house appeals to design elements such as pitched roofs with long eaves, to deal with heavy rains and exposure to the tropical sun. Natural ventilation and natural lighting are well exploited and contribute to a certain sense of sustainable design.
