MEDUSA RESTAURANT

MEDUZA is a venue whose interior we had the pleasure of designing in Sopot – from initial concepts, through functional layout, all the way to the detailed construction plans.

This time, the idea was to surprise, creating an abstract space that seemingly "moved into" a modernist pavilion. You won’t find the usual white interiors here – instead, the space is filled with dozens of plant species, crowned by a 200-year-old olive tree. That’s thanks to the Investor and their keen eye for greenery.

Importantly, the space would never be as beautiful without the architecture itself, which was restored to its former glory and thoughtfully reimagined from A to Z by architect Wojciech Augustyniak.

The outstanding final result is also due to Ms. Aleksandra Ćwilewicz (Korpus Projektowy), who, on behalf of the Investor, oversaw the implementation and coordination of both the interior and terrace design.

The uniqueness of this project lay in creating a fully functional space within a setting that had been degraded — it was a ruin.

The design team carried out a comprehensive process: from the concept, through architectural redevelopment, to the final selection of elements.

This is an important building — a modernist landmark in the city of Sopot, located right by the sea.
