The Groninger Museum asked Maarten Baas to refresh it’s Mendini restaurant as a part of the renovation of the museum. With the request on durability and everyday use for it’s furniture we developed the interior with Maarten. The colours were especially developed for the restaurant and while developing a technique to pigment the Clay the Plain Clay series was born. Besides the chairs, children’s chairs and the pendant lights the bar, wall lights, the couches and tables were made by DHPH.
