LE PLUS - AN URBAN SCULPTURE FOR NICE

Baumschlager Eberle Architekten as Architects

The task of architecture today is to meet the megatrends of the future. The LE PLUS project meets the essential challenges of urban densification to conserve land resources and create identities against anonymisation. Its compact, sculptural form requires little floor space. It also creates identity due to the clear symmetry and square outlines, which form a cube with open corners and remind of a cross-shape. And yes, it can also be seen as a plus.

Nevertheless, LE PLUS, designed by our Paris office is not only a solitaire, but is integrated into the city via the open staircase and a restaurant. The layering from outside to inside is also apparent in the use. Loggias and terraces offer free space in front of the actual offices, which are neutral in terms of use to the highest degree. They can be changed just as the building anticipates the changes in the city, especially in the airport area of Nice.

LE PLUS with its 6000 m² GFA is part of an ambitious project to upgrade the west of the city with sustainable and multifunctional buildings. Our client is, as so often, Bouygues Immobilier - Immobilier d'Entreprise France. Start of developement is summer 2023.
