FUNCTION
The complex of buildings in Phase II includes commercial buildings with office and service functions, as an extension of a site already containing a museum, gallery, and theater. Future phases plan to expand with additional facilities, including a swimming pool located in the historic B7 building.

DESIGN ASSUMPTIONS
The primary design goal of this project is the revitalization of the former industrial grounds of the Polmos Distillery by giving them a new function while preserving the unique character of the site. This was achieved by maintaining the original appearance of all the existing historic buildings while giving them a new functional layout and designing new buildings with a contemporary look, complementing the historic architecture.

The space between the historic buildings and the city's surrounding infrastructure has been redefined. The new phase introduces office spaces and completes the central area of the development, increasing the intensity of use of the public space from Phase I and giving it the character of a multi-level local urban square. The new buildings separate this redefined public square from the noise of the adjacent streets.

The central feature of the investment, a service passage, connects the individual buildings and their functions, providing a new quality and character to the entire development. In Phase II, an underground garage was built, designed to accommodate vehicular service access to the different buildings, thereby eliminating daytime vehicular traffic from the ground level.
The structure of the high-rise building is divided into two parts: a solid, corten steel block referencing the brick historic buildings, and a glass high-rise section. This combination allows the building to serve as a background for the historic architecture.

SITE DEVELOPMENT PLAN
The primary objective for the site development is to subtly integrate the sunken service passage from Phase I with the urban fabric of Stefan Kopciński Street. Both the color scheme and aesthetic expression of the development elements correspond to the first phase. As an additional feature, historic cast-iron plates are used in the paving. The gradual progress in revitalizing the historic factory grounds is reflected in the motif of cast-iron plates along the boundary where Phase II integrates with the urban fabric.

FINISHING MATERIALS
The finishing material for the flooring includes light and dark concrete slabs. At ground level, large light gray rectangles dominate, complemented by narrow dark gray stripes. The paving layout corresponds to the facade design of the newly planned buildings. The overall concept, both in terms of layout and color scheme, is simple and subdued, serving as a backdrop for the historic structures. The stone paving is complemented by greenery elements integrated into the rectangular division of the surface.
