The project consists in a weekend house for a couple whose children have begun the natural process of leaving home and the family nucleus. The house is proposed as a concrete S-shaped foundation of 81.1m x 9.8m, resting comfortably on the topography of the terrain and opening itself to a spectacular view.

The S-shaped element defines two main spaces: one destined to the users and another destined to the children’s visitors. Both spaces are proposed as individual spaces without interior divisions except in the case of bathrooms and services. In this way, the house is the addition of two independent houses joined by a common plan. The difference in levels or heights allows for privacy in both units, thus achieving functional independence and at the same time formal unity.

Closings are solved with glass in order to obtain the maximum transparency. Towards the entrance area, 3m x 3m ¨u glass ¨ canals without frames are used, and towards the ocean, large sliding 3m x 3m windows, both of which are in accordance with the modular distribution of the structure. The interior spaces avoid the use of walls and doors.

The entrance considers an elevated terrace which acts as a parking area, while the expansion zones are resolved with wooden terraces where the pool and barbecue are placed. Because of the conscious ecological condition of the house, it is naturally heated in winter by the green house effect caused by the glass wall to the north of the construction, reaching a comfortable temperature inside; on the other hand, crossed ventilation reduces the temperature in summer. The house is assisted by solar energy, the water is extracted from a deep well and waste waters are processed by a treatment plant.
