Nha Cua Mi Coffee Shop

Nhà của Mị - Mị's House is a coffee shop that draws inspiration from the remote and culturally rich mountainous region of Northwest Vietnam. The project is driven by the investor's love for the northern mountains of Vietnam, with a desire to create a coffee shop that reflects the distinctive cultural heritage of the H'Mong ethnic minority.

The name "Mị" refers to a symbolic character in Vietnamese literature, representing the resilience and determination of a young woman from the harsh mountainous region. When Vietnamese people mention "Mị", they envision the whispering winds on the high mountains, colorful brocade patterns, and the greenery of the Northwest mountains. These elements are perfectly brought to "Nhà của Mị",  which aims to provide a warm and comfortable experience for all who visit. It’s like inviting them into the world of H'Mong culture.

The project's uniqueness and the meticulous work of the construction team are evident in the deliberate aging of materials. Weathered wood, unsealed thatch roofs, worn brick walls, etc, all capture the distinctive old and rustic appearance of H'Mong architecture.

An interesting fact about this project is, architect Minh Khôi completed this design in a feverish rush, with temperatures soaring to 39 Celcius degrees. The ideas, emotions, and memories of his visit to the Northwest mountain region drove him to accomplish the product in only a single night. From the very first draft, it received the immediate approval of the investor.

"Creating a unique character for F&B business spaces" has always been the motto of Phong Cách Mộc. A project cannot provide a distinctive and exciting experience if the architect does not infuse a story and his soul into every stroke of the design.
