"Dance of a straight line"- NYORI a Malayalam term for the pleats in sarees and mund of traditional clothing of Indians is the core concept behind the project. Designed for the IT couples Mr. Unais and Ms. Alisha who want to move away from the city and settle at countryside with a keen love for simple and peaceful living.
The exterior of Nyori features a modern architectural design surrounded by lush greenery. It boasts a sleek, minimalist look with smooth, white surfaces, contributing to a clean, contemporary appearance. The design incorporates flowing, wave-like lines, adding a sense of movement and softness.
Vertical white slats on the upper level allow light to filter through, creating an airy and light-filled atmosphere. The integration with the lush green surroundings and tall palm trees ensures a tranquil retreat for the family.
Facing east, the front side of the house provides evening shade and a protected outdoor space. This area serves as a private space for children to play, acting as a barrier from the outside world. The client's additional requirements included an office and kids' area, which are designed to overlook both the courtyard and patio, offering excellent views. The balcony connected to the master bedroom features an metal louver design that complements the facade's aesthetic while ensuring privacy and creating a private garden space.
Natural light floods the interior through sheer white that drape tall windows, creating a bright and airy ambiance. The metal window features intricate details, including a curved design in the consecutive metal louvers on the facade and also it seen in interiors space such as bedroom walls, floor tile, dining table and coffee table.
