Galician tradition has always chosen socalcos (stepped ground) as the best way to build on a sloped site. This provides great advantages, as it allows direct access to the garden while keeping away from soil moisture and also having a ground floor space for the stable.
We fix a problem by recoveringmost of the original plot gradient and developing a single floor house at an upper level. This will improve both the views and mostly, the much needed solar exposure. Below the house, the ground floor stable will be turned into a garage.
Simplicity in the design will help to achieve the rest of requirements, by minimizing construction costs and enviromental impact.
It’ll be along compact volume, facing the seasideand the sunlight.
