OBO, global creative and production group, contacted ciguë to create their new workspace in a duplex in the heart of the Marais in Paris.
OBO wanted a space inspired by the meditative simplicity of a monastery. Soothing and conceived to evolve and adapt over time – offices today, housing tomorrow. Made with humble, long lasting materials – solid oak, baked earth and crude steel.
The open kitchen gives the working space a home feeling, welcoming and generous, it invites everyone to discuss and share around a casual cup of coffee or agroup dinner. René, the founder, slips on a pair of slippers as soon as he enters and already sees himself living there in the future, without changing anything.
Long tables inspired by those found in former abbeys, punctuate the working space on both floors. Glass walls of different opacities partition the space according to the level of privacy required, and fibreglass shelves run on all the walls, allowing for discrete yet easily accessible storage.
Creating as a whole a non-ostentatious space, in line with OBO’s essence, a pacifist bubble in the heart of the city.
