Oceanhamnen is a new district in the former industrial harbor of Helsingborg. The area is part of the housing expo H22 and the H+ initiative, which aims to provide Helsingborg with 5000 new residences by 2035. BRF Oceankajen is located close to the city center and the waterfront, offering views of the sea and Helsingør.
The project began with a win in a land allocation competition. The buildings are characterized by brickwork in various colors and patterns. The project is meticulously detailed, with a strong focus on facade details. For example, an Othello game is integrated into the brick facade.
The new area has high sustainability requirements, which means the building is certified as a Silver Green Building. This certification includes low energy consumption and a healthy indoor environment for residents. Solar panels on the roof generate electricity for the residents.
