Tarq Studio’s new office in Bogotá is more than a workplace, it is a spatial manifesto of our design philosophy. Created to reflect who we are and how we work, the project embodies our belief that architecture is not static but a living, evolving response to human experience. This space becomes a daily reminder of our commitment to essential design: one that prioritizes atmosphere, transition, and the emotional impact of space.

The project was inspired by the need to create a working environment that seamlessly merges innovation, calm, and functionality within a compact footprint. At only 85 square meters, every design decision had to be intentional and strategic. Our goal was to craft a space that not only houses operations but also communicates the core values of Tarq: spaces with soul that connect with those who inhabit them.

One of the main challenges was maximizing the use of limited space without compromising openness or flow. Early spatial restrictions and a lack of natural lighting in certain areas required a design approach focused on transparency, continuity, and intelligent zoning. We addressed this through an open-plan layout, integrating glass partitions and strategic lighting to enhance depth and visual connectivity.

Materiality played a central role in creating warmth and coherence. We used a neutral and elegant palette composed of light woods, matte finishes, and soft textures that ground the space while allowing it to feel open and breathable. Pops of color were introduced through art, furniture accents, and decorative elements, injecting character and energy into key zones. The lighting strategy combined natural daylight with carefully placed indirect and task lighting, making the office feel bright and welcoming throughout the day.

The spatial configuration centers around a flexible core that integrates workstations, meeting areas, and breakout zones. Instead of rigid divisions, we emphasized fluidity, allowing different functions to coexist without sacrificing identity or comfort. Zones for focused work, spontaneous meetings, and relaxation were designed to promote balance between productivity and well-being.

Ultimately, the Tarq Studio office is a space that lives what it preaches. Every corner is a quiet assertion of our values: that design must serve, inspire, and evolve. Through detail, proportion, and purposeful materiality, we have created a place that is not only efficient but emotionally resonant a working atmosphere that invites dialogue, creativity, and connection.
