The Osdorpplein project consists of the transformation from the existing Shoperade into an urban shopping area. The Shoperade is characterized by a hall with small-scale food and non-food stalls and retail units in the shopping streets. The design concept starts from the preservation of the shops on the exterior and the demolition and new construction of the interior, which means 2.500 m2 extra surface area for shopping. The atrium adds a characteristic square with cafés and links both floors.
