“Palazzo Marella is a project developed to break down the material canons of Palazzo Turati, venue of the shooting of the Marella AW 19 campaign to reinterpret it in a dreamlike way.
The brand does not give up on its visions but wants to lighten them, thus imagining a dynamic woman, a strong and elegant woman who also cultivates her airy soul part. A twist of design impertinence to have fun with elements that suggest dynamism and celebration. The rustication effect on the facade of Palazzo Turati turns into a ball dance floor as a suggestion for night pleasures given the collection of total black dresses. I wanted to wish a touch of surrealism to those who enter the Marella store in Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Milan.
So, I let the clouds in. You look out over suspended landings with floors that, bored of being flat, break up and mislead us. Where the stairs lead to air. There are fountains of sky to drink from. The pink marble becomes soft, as falling drape it decided to let go and softly wrap the whole store. Enough of its being stone.
For Marella’s women, a building to play in for a while with clouds on their feet. The mannequins in the windows welcome us by creating a gap between the soft marble walls. As people enter, they become part of this landscape and the shop window is animated by their passage.
Welcome to Palazzo Marella.”
