An institution of the Montcalm district, the Aberdeen Glacier, on the outskirts of Cartier Street, comes to life every summer to the delight of young and old alike.

Modest in its configuration, the glacier appropriates two parking spaces in order to attract the eyes of the curious and offer a seat to the greediers. This large wardrobe unfolds voluptuously to allow you to sit down to savour the moment. It takes advantage of the waffle register specific to the ice cream cone universe.

Its constructive technique expressed by the mesh allows it this formal flexibility. Its frame, which is revealed on the vegetated side, allows to sublimate the removable modules for their winter storage. Composed of plywood and cedar, the modular parametric structure unfolds with unique profiles allowing to receive the 132 facets composing the seat. It also allows a significant material economy (40%) if we compare it proportionally to the Miyagi Parklet which was composed in strata like a rice field.
