Most of the old town houses in Sabadell have the same typology: narrow lot, long courtyard at the end and staircase placed right in the middle of the building. This time the courtyard was just a lightwell occupiedby an outdoor bathroom. With a double transfer the two bearing walls of the patio are replaced by a steel column hidden inthe new wood window. But with the light of the patio it is not enough, the bearing wall of the staircase it is also replaced in order to have light from the top floor. This new layout and a 5 meters long kitchen configure the new open space of the ground floor where the day program of the house it is placed.
