Details that make a space special
The Mallorca-based developer Sophisticated Projects, acquired this wonderful single-family home in the heart of Palma de Mallorca in a dilapidated state with the idea of making a big change and returning it to the market in the state it deserved.
In order to do so, it placed its trust in a team formed by the architect Miguel Arenas and the interior designer Marga Comas. They put the work in the hands of Alibaz Construction, who understood and knew how to bring the project to perfection.
Only the façade of the building has been conserved as it is characteristic for the neighbourhood where it is located, and the interior staircase with its warped shape due to its great decorative value, a sign of identity of the house, which was perfectly integrated into the new distribution and which, after the work, has become the nerve centre of the house.
In addition, they respected the style of the original houses in the old town. Exposed beams, bush-hammered stone, exterior woodwork, Mallorcan blinds, etc... and a fresh Nordic touch was added, marked above all by the lacquered woods.
The harmony is completed with the furnishing and lighting. A meticulous work of each room separately for the search of furniture and lighting that provides as a result this naturalness, sobriety and warmth that reflect the images ...
