The dining table was where they wanted to be. For dinner, views of the Rotterdam skyline and board games that could last for hours. Both clients named the table as their favourite place before their penthouse in STACK on the Müllerpier had even been completed.
The developer's plan placed a 3.6-metre kitchen wall in a corner of the living room. Masters of Interior Design gave cooking and dining a prominent position facing the skyline. A 4.8-metre kitchen island divides the apartment into a private zone and a living zone.
Storage and laundry disappear behind the kitchen wall. Board games are kept in the window seat beside the dining table. A game can stay out until the following morning.
The other spaces follow the residents' daily lives too. The compact seating area is made for a film night. The television cabinet screens the rooftop jacuzzi from view. A guest room with a fold-down bed is concealed behind a bookcase.
Two work and gaming spaces face each other beside the balcony. And the residents' own bed came with them.
Using the Interieur MasterPlan Methode©, Marc and Sven first mapped the residents' wishes and everyday habits. This informed the complete design of the penthouse, roof terrace and balcony. MoID's own Project Manager coordinated the execution, while Marc and Sven provided aesthetic supervision. Bespoke joinery was lifted into the penthouse by crane over two lifting days.
