Peru London Pavilion

Crab Studio as Architects

Peru’s rich cultural and natural resources provide both a transformative and profound experience applicable to anyone willing to travel. The design is inspired by the multicoloured and multifaceted nature of Peruvian culture, and benefits from a natural empathy with the architecture of the CRAB studio. The strategic positioning of the bar, performance stage and exhibition space stimulate pockets of social congregation and yet encourage continuous movement through the pavilion. The pockets of space thus created represent ideal places for both business and social interaction to occur simultaneously. These individual stands are constructed of plywood units that can be assembled and disassembled with ease. All wood is painted or veneered. Structures are lit with environmentally friendly LED strip lights, task spotlights and decorative pendant lighting.
