As part of this project, we had the opportunity to holistically develop and implement the interior design and fit-out for the regionally based Petermichl butcher shop in the Bavaria region of Germany. The goal was to create a modern, functional, and high-quality retail space that accommodates both traditional daily operations and an innovative 24/7 store concept.
The focus was on a clear spatial structure, high-quality materials, and a consistent retail design that combines functionality, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness. The result is a contemporary store that visibly reflects the brand and quality of the business while integrating new technical possibilities in retail.
Holistic Interior Design & Fit-out
The developed interior design concept is based on a calm, minimalist design with clean lines and natural materials. Custom-made furniture, textured sales shelves, and acoustically effective wall surfaces ensure a tidy, pleasant customer flow and a high-quality atmosphere in the sales area.
Special attention was paid to the interior fit-out and the functional integration of refrigerated and frozen food display units. These were seamlessly integrated into acoustic panel walls, forming a cohesive design unit with the rest of the store fit-out. This creates a clear, calm spatial effect despite the high technical requirements in the background. Care was also taken to ensure the acoustic panels could be easily removed to simplify maintenance of technical equipment.
Store Fit-Out of the Highest Quality
The entire store fit-out was carried out by our subsidiary Baltic Retail Support. The project was executed with the highest quality standards, precise craftsmanship, and custom-made solutions for furniture, shelving systems, and sales units.
All store fixtures were specifically designed and manufactured for this location—with the goal of optimally combining durability, functionality, and design clarity. The central sales counter forms the heart of the sales area.
Innovative Retail Technology & 24/7 Store
A key feature of this project is the integration of innovative checkout technology from Smartstore 24 GmbH, which enables the store to operate around the clock (24/7). The technology was integrated early on into the retail planning and interior design to ensure optimal coordination between technology and spatial design.
The result is a retail space that successfully bridges the gap between modern, automated processes and a high-quality, inviting store concept—a forward-thinking example of modern retail.
Overall Project Management & Construction Management
In addition to the interior design and shopfitting planning, we took on overall project management as well as construction management. From the concept phase through detailed planning to implementation, we coordinated all involved trades and partners.
Through centralized project management, quality, deadlines, and costs were efficiently controlled, ensuring a smooth implementation. The project exemplifies our strength in providing comprehensive support for complex retail projects—from the initial idea to the fully realized store.
Result
The result is a modern, clearly structured retail space that combines interior design, shopfitting, high-quality products, and innovative technology into a cohesive overall concept.
